LETTER TO AMERICA

An Experimental Video Essay on America’s 250th

Youth250 commissioned a letter to America — expressed through any art form. The result was an experimental AI-powered video poem exploring unity as the defining civic value of our generation, produced using a custom AI workflow and presented at the Declaration of Independence Center in Philadelphia, February 2026— an event covered by The New York Times, CNN, and more.

Process

To create this film, traditional filmmaking and cutting-edge AI production were woven together — including a custom LoRA trained on a curated dataset of 200+ images, backgrounds and foregrounds generated separately and composited in Photoshop, with final output produced across Fal.ai, Runway, Midjourney, and Veo3.

Testimonial

“Anatola is a truly one-of-a-kind thinker, who consistently pushes her colleagues to imagine bigger, bolder futures in every context. Through her participation in Youth250, she has tangibly made the US 250th more youth-centered across multiple engagements with national partners.” — Alex Edgar, Made By Us

A note on the flag

In this poem, America’s flag is reimagined. Red, white, and blue become something new — purple for unity, green for nature, iridescent where white once was because we all see things in a different light. Planets instead of stars for the new world we are all building together.

In this poem, purple represents unity — not uniformity. It’s not about becoming the same, but using our unique strengths toward a common goal. When red and blue combine their distinct qualities without erasing their differences, they create something new and powerful. Unity through diversity.
