A true world-builder, Anatola’s multimedia art exists at the intersection of technology, ancestral wisdom, and civic imagination. She creates immersive experiences that invite audiences to reimagine the world they inhabit.
Her creations have graced the walls of institutions including MoMA New York City, Art Basel, Lincoln Center, the Museum of the Moving Image, and more. Her films have been recognized across 18 international film festival awards. Each piece is a portal into possible futures, forgotten histories, and radical imagination.

AFRO ALGORITHMS
A 3D animated short film in the Afrofuturist genre that explores the topics of artificial intelligence and bias. This project recently made history by being sent to space on NASA’s first Moon mission since 1972.
MANNAHATTA 2100
An augmented reality experience that lets users step into two possible versions of New York City in 2100: one shaped by climate collapse, and the other by collective action toward a regenerative, sustainable future.
AFRO ASTRA
Over 300 years ago, African American slaves encoded maps to freedom within the intricate designs of their cornrows. As humanity crosses the threshold to becoming an interplanetary species, how might Black hair reimagine our relationship to the cosmos?

AMERICA’S NOT OKAY
An experimental video poem for America’s 250th. Originally created and performed for Youth250 — a nonpartisan coalition of young people redefining civic imagination for the next generation.
FUTURE CITIES | SINGAPORE
An interactive coloring book reimagining urban futures through color. By 2050, over two-thirds of the global population will reside in cities. This demands a radical reimagining of our urban spaces to adapt to climate change. This project explores the critical decisions needed to shape our collective urban futures.
THE COUNCIL | MoMA
A collaboration between the Museum of Modern Art in New York City and artist Adelita Husni-Bey to reimagine museum spaces in the face of a fictional apocolyptic event. Exhibit at the MoMA On Being New Photography exhibit in 2018 and acquired into its permanent collection.
